About PR11ME Rugby

What is PR11ME Rugby?

PR11ME Rugby is a bold reimagining of the game. It’s a hybrid 11-a-side format that blends the structure of 15s, the space of 7s, and the speed of modern sport. Designed from the ground up to maximize tempo, tactical creativity, and fan engagement, PR11ME is not just another variation. It’s a statement.

This isn’t exhibition rugby. It’s a competitive, fast-paced format where every carry, tackle, and decision matters. The off-field experience is just as important as the play on it.

Whether you’re a traditionalist, a newcomer, or a future star, PR11ME was built for you.

MISSION

To reshape rugby into a faster, more accessible, and more entertaining format that develops talent, excites fans, and lowers the barrier to entry all while keeping the core values of the game intact. PR11ME exists to create opportunity, connection, and unforgettable rugby experiences.

Vision

To build a global short-format rugby ecosystem rooted in development, spectacle, and innovation. From grassroots to elite, PR11ME will become the proving ground for the next generation of players and the platform for a new style of the sport: bold, modern, and inclusive.

KEY INNOVATIONS

11 A SIDE

Balanced between the structure of 15s and the space of 7s, the 11-player format allows for open play while keeping traditional rugby roles intact. It’s fast, physical, and tactical.

DOUBLE OR NOTHING

After scoring under the posts, teams can take the usual 5 points and kick for 2, or choose Double or Nothing. If they do, they tap from the 22 and have three phases to score again. If they do, it’s 10 points total. If they don’t, they lose their 5 points and the opposition restarts with a 22 dropout.

SIDELINE SLOT

Available after a try under the posts, this is a high-skill kick from a marked zone near the touchline. Taken from 22 meters out and 15 in, a successful Slot gives the team 4 points. Miss it, and the team stays on 5. Clean, risky, and designed for precision. Easy kick and be assured of 2 points or add difficulty and go for 4?

Redefined Roles

PR11ME uses traditional rugby jersey numbers for clarity, but each role has been adapted for the faster, more open 11-a-side format:

Props (1 & 3) and Hooker (2) keep the physical core of the game intact, with greater emphasis on mobility and work rate.

Locks (4 & 5) bring physicality but also need the versatility to operate in wider channels and support attacking flow.

Anchor (8) replaces the traditional No. 8 with a hybrid role that links forwards and backs, controls the breakdown, and triggers counterattacks.

Scrumhalf (9) and Flyhalf (10) retain their classic playmaking duties but must operate at higher tempo with more space and fewer support options.

Centre (12) combines the power of a traditional 12 with the vision of a 13 — key in both attack structure and midfield defense.

Wingback (14) is more than a finisher. This player must cover width, counterattack, and work the edges of broken play with pace and awareness.

Sweeper (15) commands the backfield, covers kicks, cleans up loose ball, and drives counterplay. Part fullback, part second playmaker.
